Ingredients

  • FOR THE FILLING:
  • 2 pounds Apples (5 Cups)
  • 2/3 cups Sugar
  • 1/3 cups Brown Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon

  • FOR THE CRUST:
  • 1/2 cups Butter
  • 1/4 cups Brown Sugar
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1/2 cups Coconut

Method

  • 1. Slice apples into a large bowl.
  • 2. Add the next four ingredients and toss together. Set aside.
  • 3. In another bowl, cut butter into small pieces and mix with the other three ingredients until crumbly.
  • 4. Set aside 3/4 cup of this mixture for the topping.
  • 5. Press the remaining mixture into a 9" pie pan.
  • 6. Pour in the apple filling in on top of that and then top with the reserved crumb mixture.
  • 7. Bake at 350 F for about 60 minutes.
