Ingredients
- 3 lb. lean stewing beef, cut into 1 1/2-inch cubes
- 1 (1 1/2 oz.) envelope dry onion soup mix
- 1/2 c. sauterne wine or beef broth
- 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can condensed cream of mushroom soup or cream of celery soup
- 1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained (optional)
Method
- Combine all ingredients in a crock-pot.
- Cover and cook on low setting for 10 to 12 hours.
- If desired, thicken gravy.
- Makes 8 servings (about 3 quarts).
