Ingredients
- 2 lb. stew beef, cut in 1-inch pieces
- 3 carrots, sliced
- 3 stalks celery
- 1 to 2 onions, cut in chunks
- 1 (1 lb. 12 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
- 2 medium potatoes, sliced
- 1/2 c. frozen or fresh peas
- 1/2 c. quick cooking tapioca
- 1 whole clove
- 2 bay leaves
- salt and pepper to taste
Method
- Put all ingredients except peas in crock-pot and mix thoroughly.
- Cover and cook on low 12 hours (high 5 to 6 hours). Add peas in the last 1/2 hour of cooking.
