Ingredients

  • 500 grams Sweet potato
  • 30 grams Butter
  • 60 grams Sugar
  • 1/2 Egg yolk
  • 50 ml Heavy cream
  • 1 dash Egg yolks (for glossing)
  • 1 for decoration Black sesame seeds
  • 1 few drops Vanilla extract

Method

  • Peel the boiled sweet potatoes.
  • Here's the "heart" of this recipe - passing it through a strainer!
  • At the time, I had no proper tools... so here's what I used!
  • It took me about an hour!
  • The sweet potatoes are now really smooth.
  • And tasty, too!
  • Into a frying pan with melted butter, add sugar and the strained sweet potatoes in small batches.
  • Knead.
  • Now add heavy cream and vanilla extract, then continue to knead.
  • When everything is mixed together, turn the heat off and add the egg yolks.
  • Mix thoroughly.
  • Because you pressed the sweet potatoes through a strainer, the mixture is nice and smooth.
  • Pack the mixture into liners or molds.
  • Smooth out the surface.
  • Brush on the egg yolks to add shine.
  • Bake in a 180C oven until golden brown - voila!
