Ingredients

  • 1 c. light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 1/2 c. Pet milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 c. white Karo
  • 2 Tbsp. oleo
  • 1 c. pecans, chopped fine

Method

  • Put all ingredients together in saucepan, except vanilla and pecans.
  • Stir only until the sugars are dissolved.
  • Cook to a soft ball stage (about 235°).
  • Remove from heat.
  • Add vanilla and pecans and stir just until it starts to get firm (about 4 to 5 minutes).
  • Drop on waxed paper or into cupcake papers.
  • Makes about 3 dozen.
