Ingredients

  • 8 ounces noodles
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 each onions chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 15 ounces tomato sauce
  • 16 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 13 cup scallions, spring or green onions
  • 1 x parmesan, parmigiano-reggiano cheese, grated

Method

  • Cook noodles to desired doneness, drain.
  • Brown ground beef, drain.
  • Simmer ground beef, onion, salt, pepper and tomato sauce.
  • Cream the cream cheese, cottage cheese and sour cream together.
  • Add chopped green onions.
  • Pour over noodles and mix well.
  • Layer noodles and ground beef mixture in casserole dish.
  • Top with grated parmesan cheese and bake at 350F (180C).
  • for 30 to 40 minutes.
