- 1 (7 ounce.) pkg. macaroni, uncooked
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 3 tbsp. flour
- 1 teaspoon parsley flakes
- 3/4 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 c. lowfat milk
- 2 1/2 c. shredded American cheese
- 2 c. diced cooked ham
- 1 (10 ounce.) packed frzn asparagus
- 1 (6 ounce.) mushrooms
- 3 tbsp. dry bread crumbs
Method
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- In large saucepan, heat butter; stir in flour, salt, parsley flakes, dry mustard, and pepper.
- Blend in lowfat milk.
- Cook, stirring constantly, till thickened and bubbly.
- Add in cheese; stir till melted.
- Add in cooked macaroni, ham, asparagus, and mushrooms; mix well.
- Pour into buttered 2-qt casserole.
- Sprinkle with bread crumbs.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 30 min or possibly till bubbly.
- Yield 4 or possibly 6 servings.
