Method

  • Put room temperature eggs in a small sauce pan and cover with boiling water.
  • Cook for 5-7 minutes over medium heat.
  • Soak the eggs in water for a while before peeling.
  • If you cook eggs straight from the fridge, soak in warm water before cooking.
  • Cook 3 minutes for very soft-boiled eggs.
  • Cook around 10 minutes for regular soft-boiled eggs.
  • Cook about 12 minutes for hard-boiled eggs.
  • If you cook with cold water, estimate time will be about 7 minutes after it starts boiling.
