Ingredients
- 1 average size head cabbage
- 1 block butter or oleo
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch or flour
- 2 c. milk
- 1 c. grated cheese
- salt to taste
- red and black pepper to taste
- cracker crumbs
- cheese strips
Method
- Melt butter in pan.
- Add cornstarch or flour and stir.
- Slowly add milk; stir until thick and smooth.
- Set aside.
- Cut cabbage in two-inch pieces.
- Boil in salted water about 15 minutes, then drain.
- Set aside.
- Add grated cheese and seasoning to white sauce.
- Stir until cheese is melted.
