Ingredients
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese (room temperature)
- 1 1/2 c. margarine, softened
- 3 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla or lemon extract
- pinch of salt
- 6 large eggs
- 3 c. sifted flour
Method
- Combine cream cheese, margarine and sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Add vanilla or lemon extract and salt.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Add flour and mix well. Spoon into greased 10-inch tube pan.
- Bake at 350° for 1 1/2 hours or until cake tests done. Cool 10 minutes and remove from pan.
