Ingredients

  • 1 lb. frozen crab meat
  • 3/4 c. chopped celery
  • 1 Tbsp. mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 Tbsp. catsup
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 3/4 c. shredded onion
  • 1 1/2 c. half and half
  • 1 c. bread crumbs
  • salt and pepper
  • hot sauce to taste

Method

  • Saute onions and celery in butter.
  • Add flour and blend well. Add cream (half and half).
  • Cook until mixture boils and thickens.
  • Add seasonings and crab meat.
  • Stir well.
  • Before serving, spoon mixture into greased shells.
  • Top with crumbs and bits of butter.
  • Brown in the oven at 325°.
  • Can be made up ahead and put in the freezer.
  • Then bake as wanted.
