- 1 lb. frozen crab meat
- 3/4 c. chopped celery
- 1 Tbsp. mayonnaise
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1 Tbsp. catsup
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 c. butter
- 3/4 c. shredded onion
- 1 1/2 c. half and half
- 1 c. bread crumbs
- salt and pepper
- hot sauce to taste
Method
- Saute onions and celery in butter.
- Add flour and blend well. Add cream (half and half).
- Cook until mixture boils and thickens.
- Add seasonings and crab meat.
- Stir well.
- Before serving, spoon mixture into greased shells.
- Top with crumbs and bits of butter.
- Brown in the oven at 325°.
- Can be made up ahead and put in the freezer.
- Then bake as wanted.
