Ingredients

  • 1 lb. crab meat
  • 1 Tbsp. margarine or butter
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. minced onion flakes
  • 1 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • paprika for top
  • 1 slice white bread, cubed without crust
  • 1/2 c. mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper

Method

  • Melt margarine in pan. Mix in flour.
  • Slowly add milk, stirring constantly to keep smooth.
  • Cook until mixture comes to a boil and thickens.
  • Mix in onion, Worcestershire sauce and bread cubes.
  • Cool.
  • Fold in
  • mayonnaise, salt and pepper.
