Ingredients
- 4 to 6 pieces cubed steak
- salt
- pepper
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 4 Tbsp. oil
Method
- Roll steak in flour and salt and pepper mixture thoroughly. Place steak in pan with hot oil; brown both sides.
- Simmer for 20 minutes with lid on.
- Add all remaining flour to pan.
- Scrape dish off in pan.
- Add 1 1/2 cups water.
- Simmer an additional length of time (10 minutes).
- Gravy will thicken and lumps will come out as stirred.
