Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb sweet Italian sausage, cooked, crumbled and drained.
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 1 small green pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 small carrot, finely chopped
  • 1 large clove garlic, finely minced
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 cans (13 3/4 oz) chicken broth
  • 1 can (16 oz) whole tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 cup water
  • 3/4 cup dry lentils
  • 1/2 cup Grey Poupon Country Dijon Mustard

Method

  • In 4 quart saucepan combine all ingredients except mustard. Simmer, covered, 1 1/2 hours or until lentils are tender. Mix in mustard.
