- 1/2 lb sweet Italian sausage, cooked, crumbled and drained.
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 1 small green pepper, finely chopped
- 1 small carrot, finely chopped
- 1 large clove garlic, finely minced
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 cans (13 3/4 oz) chicken broth
- 1 can (16 oz) whole tomatoes, chopped
- 1 cup water
- 3/4 cup dry lentils
- 1/2 cup Grey Poupon Country Dijon Mustard
Method
- In 4 quart saucepan combine all ingredients except mustard. Simmer, covered, 1 1/2 hours or until lentils are tender. Mix in mustard.
