Ingredients

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp onion powder
  • 2 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 2 cornish hen
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk

Method

  • Put flour and next five ing.
  • In a shallow bowl and dredge hens in flour mix and shake.off excess.
  • Coat pan with oil and cook hens on both sides until browned and remove the hens and sprinkle flour into drippings.
  • Mix flour into fat to dissolve& pour in chicken broth.
  • Let cook 5 mins.
  • To slightly reduce and thicken.
  • Stir in buttermilk to make gravy creamy and return the hens.
  • Simmer and season with s&p and serve
