Ingredients
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 2 tbsp onion powder
- 2 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 2 cornish hen
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
Method
- Put flour and next five ing.
- In a shallow bowl and dredge hens in flour mix and shake.off excess.
- Coat pan with oil and cook hens on both sides until browned and remove the hens and sprinkle flour into drippings.
- Mix flour into fat to dissolve& pour in chicken broth.
- Let cook 5 mins.
- To slightly reduce and thicken.
- Stir in buttermilk to make gravy creamy and return the hens.
- Simmer and season with s&p and serve
