  • FOR THE CUPCAKES:
  • 1 box (18.25 Oz. Box) Yellow Cake Mix
  • Additional Required Ingredients Specified In Mix Package (typically Water, Eggs And Oil)
  • 1-1/2 cup Crushed Oreos

  • 8 ounces, weight Cream Cheese
  • 1/2 cups Butter, Softened
  • 3 cups Powdered Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup Crushed Oreos
  • Oreos Cut In Half, For Garnish (optional)

Method

  • Mix the batter (you'll typically need water, eggs, and oil, as called for in the mix package) as directed on the box, including preheating the oven to the designated temperature. Then mix the crushed Oreos into the batter and fill the cupcake papers. Bake as directed (check the cake mix package for directions).
  • For the frosting, mix together the cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Gently stir in Oreo crumbs, being careful not to overmix so the icing doesn't become soggy and grey.
  • Once the cupcakes have cooled, frost them and garnish with half of an Oreo on top if so desired.
