Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken with liver
- 4 to 5 cubes Knorr chicken bouillon
- 1 c. North Carolina rice
- 1/2 bunch celery
- 2 good size yellow onions
- salt to taste
Method
- Cook chicken in large soup pot filled with water to cover chicken for 1 hour or until done along with 4 chicken bouillon. After cooked, remove from pot and place in colander in drainer to cool.
- While chicken is draining, take the water left in pot and add rice, celery (chopped small) and onions (also diced) and cook until done, about 20 minutes.
- Debone and skin chicken and add it to the rest; salt to taste.
- Heat through and you have Cookie's Homemade Soup.
