- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 (46 oz.) tomato juice
- 1 (8 oz.) tomato sauce
- 2 to 3 cans Brooks chili hot beans
- several stalks celery, chopped
- 2 Tbsp. plus 1 tsp. brown sugar
- 2 tsp. white sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- few drops Tabasco
Method
- Brown ground beef in 5-quart Dutch oven. Drain fat.
- Add rest of ingredients and bring to boil over medium heat.
- Reduce heat and simmer, covered, about 1 1/2 hours.
