Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 (46 oz.) tomato juice
  • 1 (8 oz.) tomato sauce
  • 2 to 3 cans Brooks chili hot beans
  • several stalks celery, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. plus 1 tsp. brown sugar
  • 2 tsp. white sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • few drops Tabasco

Method

  • Brown ground beef in 5-quart Dutch oven. Drain fat.
  • Add rest of ingredients and bring to boil over medium heat.
  • Reduce heat and simmer, covered, about 1 1/2 hours.
