Ingredients
- 14 Tbsp. ground coffee (not instant)
- 8 c. water
- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 qt. half and half
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream, softened
Method
- Make coffee from ground coffee and water using a coffee maker. Dissolve sugar in 2 cups hot coffee; set aside to cool. Make 2 trays ice cubes from remaining coffee. These 2 steps should be prepared a day ahead. Combine remaining coffee with sugared coffee in a covered container; refrigerate.
