Ingredients
- 3 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. milk
- 5 Tbsp. dark corn syrup
- 1/3 c. unsweetened cocoa
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Into a heavy 3-quart saucepan, turn the sugar, milk, butter, corn syrup and cocoa.
- Mix and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
- Cook, without stirring, about 15 minutes at a full but low and gentle boil.
- Add vanilla and cool to lukewarm (110°). Beat until fudge begins to thicken and loses its gloss. Quickly pour into a buttered 8-inch square dish.
- Makes 2 pounds. Inexpensive!
