Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. dry bread crumbs
  • 1/3 c. minced onion
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. parsley
  • 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 c. shortening
  • 1 (12 oz.) bottle chili sauce
  • 1 (10 oz.) jar grape jelly

Method

  • Mix the first 7 ingredients together.
  • Crumble bread crumbs into mix (toast bread to make it dry).
  • Mix thoroughly; shape into 1-inch balls.
  • Melt shortening in skillet and brown meatballs. Pour off excess shortening.
  • Add jelly in skillet and melt.
  • Add chili sauce, stirring constantly.
  • Add meatballs; stir until thoroughly coated.
  • Pour all into chafing dish.
  • Serve.
