Ingredients
- 2 lb. ground chuck
- 1 envelope onion soup mix
- 2 tsp. monosodium glutamate
- 1/4 c. pkg. dried bread crumbs
- 2 (14 oz.) bottles hot, tangy or spicy catsup
- 1 (10 oz.) jar apple jelly
- 1 egg
Method
- Mix together ground chuck, onion soup, egg, m.s.g. and bread crumbs.
- Form into bite-size meat balls.
- Arrange on cookie sheets.
- Brown in a 350° oven for about 15 minutes.
- Stir together catsup and jelly until blended; heat over medium heat.
- (I use crock-pot.)
- Add meat balls.
- Simmer until ready to use (at least 1 hour).
