Ingredients
- 1 c. margarine
- 1 c. sugar (white)
- 1 egg, separated
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 4 Tbsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 c. nuts
Method
- Cream butter and sugar; add yolk.
- Add flour, sifted with cinnamon.
- Mix well.
- Put in jelly roll pan, 10 x 15-inch.
- Pour unbeaten egg white over surface and spread with hand.
- This gives shiny look.
- Drain excess.
- Sprinkle nuts on top.
- Press into dough.
- Bake at 325° for 25 to 30 minutes.
- Cut into bars while hot, 2 1/2 x 3/4-inch.
- These freeze well.
