Ingredients

  • 2 lb. Velveeta cheese
  • 2 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 2 c. chopped dates
  • 1 c. toasted walnuts
  • 1 c. chutney
  • 1 tsp. curry powder

Method

  • Let cheese stand at room temperature 6 to 8 hours.
  • Roll 1/2 of soft cheese between 2 pieces of wax paper to 1/8-inch thickness.
  • Repeat with other half.
  • Spread softened cream cheese over the rolled out cheese to cover it completely.
  • Toast nuts 10 minutes in 300° oven.
  • In food processor or blender, chop nuts; add remaining ingredients and spread over the cheese.
  • Roll the cheese with the help of the wax paper, sealing the ends of the roll.
  • Refrigerate until firm.
  • Serve with crackers.
  • May be frozen.
