Ingredients
- 6 egg yolks
- 8 Tbsp. evaporated milk or cream
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. whiskey
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. flour
- pinch of salt
- hot oil
- confectioners sugar
Method
- Beat egg yolks until stiff.
- Add milk, pinch of salt, whiskey and sugar.
- Blend flour and knead until smooth.
- Refrigerate dough for at least 1 hour or even overnight.
- Cut dough into 4 pieces, working 1 at a time.
- Refrigerate rest.
- Roll very thin and cut into strips about 4 x 2-inches with slanted edges.
- Make a 1-inch slit in center of each.
- Draw 1 end through slit and curl back in opposite direction.
