Ingredients

  • 1 lb. round steak
  • 4 tsp. cooking oil
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 c. diced celery
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 2 tsp. soy sauce
  • 2 medium green peppers
  • 2 Tbsp. red pimentos
  • 3/4 c. green onions
  • 1 c. or can consomme
  • 1 lb. bean sprouts
  • 5 1/2 oz. can noodles
  • 2 c. rice, cooked

Method

  • Cook round steak in oil, salt and garlic until lightly brown. Add celery, water, soy sauce, consomme, green pepper, red pimentos and green onions. Cook a little. Add bean sprouts last. Thicken. Serve over noodles and rice.
  • Chicken can be used instead of round steak.
