Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. Crisco
  • 1/2 c. onions, diced
  • 2 c. celery
  • 1 lb. veal, cubed
  • 1 lb. pork, cubed
  • 1 can bean sprouts
  • 1 can dry noodles
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 2 c. water
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. soy sauce

Method

  • Melt fat in Dutch oven.
  • Add meat, onions and fry until brown. Add salt, pepper and water.
  • Cook 1 hour.
  • Add celery and cook 30 minutes more.
  • Make thickening of flour, sugar and soy sauce.
  • Add 2 tablespoons water.
  • Add to meat mixture and cook until thickened.
  • Add drained beans and sprouts.
  • Serve on cooked rice (drained).
  • Top with noodles.
