Ingredients

  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 5 extra large eggs
  • 3 c. flour, sifted
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. almond flavoring
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 c. cocoa

Method

  • Sift flour and dry ingredients together 2 times.
  • Set aside. Cream butter and shortening.
  • Add sugar, one cup at a time, and beat well.
  • Add eggs one at a time.
  • Add flour mixture, alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour.
  • Spray a Bundt pan with Baker's Joy.
  • Bake in a 325° oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until cake tests done.
