Ingredients
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. self rising flour
- 3 Tbsp. cocoa
- 2 c. water
- 3 eggs, separated
- 1/2 stick butter
- dash of salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 (9-inch) baked pie shell
Method
- Mix flour, sugar and cocoa together; add enough water to make a paste.
- Add beaten egg yolks; mix well.
- Heat remaining water with butter and salt until butter is melted.
- Combine water and cocoa mixture; cook until thick.
- Remove from heat and add vanilla; mix well.
- Let cool and pour into pie shell.
