Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup icing sugar
- 1-1/2 cups flour
- 1/3 cup cocoa
- 1/2 cup ground hazelnuts (or almonds)
Method
- Cream butter and sugar. Mix flour, cocoa and ground nuts. Stir into butter. Turn onto floured board and knead together. Place in a bag or plastic wrap and refrigerate a couple of hours. (Or shape into 2 logs, about 1" to 1-1/4" diameter, roll in plastic wrap or waxed paper, place in bag and refrigerate 4 hours or more; slice and bake as needed). Pinch off 1" balls, roll between hands into cigar-shape, and curl into crescent shapes; place on ungreased baking sheet and bake at 325F about 10 or 11 minutes.
