Ingredients

  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • 2 to 3 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 tsp. almond extract
  • 1 lb. box powdered sugar
  • 2 jars maraschino cherries, drained
  • 6 oz. bag milk chocolate chips
  • 1/2 to 2/3 bar paraffin

Method

  • Mix the first 4 ingredients; chill. Drain cherries on paper towels. Pack chilled mixture around cherries and roll into a ball. Freeze cherries. Melt chocolate and paraffin together in a double boiler. Dip balls in chocolate. If mixture gets too soft to handle, just chill again, then dip.
