Ingredients

  • 1 small pkg. (6 oz.) chocolate chips
  • 3 Tbsp. milk
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 4 egg whites
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • pinch of salt

Method

  • Melt in double boiler the chocolate chips, milk and sugar.
  • Let cool.
  • Beat egg yolks and add them to chocolate mixture.
  • Beat egg whites stiff with electric mixer.
  • (Hint:
  • This takes about 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Whites must stand at peaks when beaters are lifted from bowl.)
  • Add whites to mixture.
  • Add vanilla and salt.
  • Pour into pie crust.
