Ingredients

  • 2/3 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. butter or margarine
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. quick cooking oatmeal
  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Beat butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla until light and fluffy.
  • Blend in flour, baking powder and salt. Stir in oatmeal and 1 cup chocolate chips.
  • Spread in an ungreased 9 x 13-inch pan.
  • Sprinkle with remaining chocolate chips.
  • Bake for 25 minutes or until light brown.
  • Cool and cut into bars.
