Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter flavored Crisco
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/4 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 c. nuts (optional)

Method

  • Cream butter, brown sugar, sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs; beat well.
  • Combine flour, salt and baking soda.
  • Gradually beat into creamed mixture.
  • Stir in chips and nuts.
  • Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 350° for 7 to 9 minutes.
  • Store in tightly covered container.
