Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter, softened
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour*
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method

  • Heat oven to 375°.
  • Mix butter, sugars and egg.
  • Stir in flour, baking soda and salt; the dough will be stiff.
  • Stir in nuts and chocolate chips.
  • Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto UNGREASED cookie sheet. Bake until light brown, about 8 to 10 minutes.
  • The center will be soft.
  • Cool slightly and eat.
