Ingredients
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 3/4 c. granulated sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. water
- 2 eggs
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
Method
- Beat butter, shortening, sugars, vanilla, water and eggs until light and fluffy.
- Mix flour with soda and salt; blend into butter mixture.
- Stir in chips.
- Drop 2 inches apart from teaspoon onto ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake at 375° for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.
- Makes about 8 dozen.
