Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar
  • 3/4 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. water
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips

Method

  • Beat butter, shortening, sugars, vanilla, water and eggs until light and fluffy.
  • Mix flour with soda and salt; blend into butter mixture.
  • Stir in chips.
  • Drop 2 inches apart from teaspoon onto ungreased baking sheet.
  • Bake at 375° for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Makes about 8 dozen.
