Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter or margarine
  • 3/4 c. honey
  • 3/4 c. maple syrup
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 2 c. (12 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate pieces
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Method

  • Cream butter or margarine until soft.
  • Add honey, maple syrup and eggs.
  • Blend.
  • Sift flour with salt and soda.
  • Add to first mixture.
  • Mix well.
  • Add nuts, chocolate pieces and vanilla and mix.
  • Drop by half teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased baking sheets. Bake in 350° oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until lightly browned. Remove to rack to cool completely.
  • Yields about 10 dozen.
