Ingredients
- 1/4 c. margarine
- 6 Tbsp. cocoa
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 3 1/4 c. powdered sugar
- 1/2 c. dark syrup
- 3/4 c. dry milk powder
Method
- In saucepan, melt margarine over medium heat; stir in syrup and cocoa.
- Bring to a boil.
- Remove from heat.
- Add vanilla, 2 cups powdered sugar and milk powder.
- Mixture will be stiff.
- Turn out onto surface dusted with confectioners sugar; knead 3 or 4 minutes or until stiff.
- Divide into 4 pieces and roll into an 18-inch rope.
- Cut into 3/4-inch pieces.
- Wrap each in cellophane or waxed paper.
- Store in refrigerator.
- Makes 8 dozen.
