Ingredients
- 2 sq. Hershey's baking chocolate
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. maraschino cherries
- 1 c. nuts, chopped
Method
- Melt chocolate in double boiler.
- Cream butter and sugar.
- Add egg; blend well.
- Stir in vanilla and melted chocolate; beat until combined.
- Add in flour, soda and salt; mix.
- Stir in cherries and nuts.
- Drop by teaspoon on cookie sheet.
- Bake 13 to 15 minutes or until set at 350°.
- Makes 5 dozen cookies.
