Ingredients

  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 can tomato sauce (15 oz.)
  • 1 can stewed tomatoes (14.5 oz.)
  • 3/4 c. A.1. steak sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. cumin
  • 1 can kidney beans
  • shredded cheese

Method

  • Saute onion and garlic in oil. Add beef and cook until brown. Drain and stir in tomato sauce, stewed tomatoes, steak sauce, chili powder and cumin. Heat to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in beans and simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes. Ladle into bowls and top with shredded cheese.
