Ingredients
- 8 or 10 large tomatoes, chopped
- 4 or 5 yellow onions, chopped fine
- 1 large green pepper, chopped fine
- 1/2 tsp. cloves
- 1 c. sugar
- 2/3 c. cider vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. allspice
- dash of cayenne pepper
Method
- Combine all ingredients and cook in heavy pan slowly (simmer) until thick.
- Makes about 2 pints.
