Ingredients

  • 4 beef steaks, rump or 4 sirloin
  • salt & freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 1 red chili pepper, finely sliced
  • 1 tablespoon whole grain mustard
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh mint, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Method

  • Season the steaks on both sides wih salt and pepper.
  • place the marinade ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
  • Add the steaks to the marinade, coating them on all sides.
  • Cover and chill until required.
  • Remove the steaks from the fridge 30 mins before cooking.
  • Five mins before cooking, preheat the broiler or a griddle pan or a george foreman grill.
  • Cook the steaks for 5 minutes in the GF grill or 10-12 mins each side under the broiler, or to your own taste.
