Ingredients

  • 3 lb. ground beef
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1/2 pkg. celery, chopped
  • 1 large can diced tomatoes
  • 1 c. V-8 juice
  • 1 can kidney beans
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 bay leaves

Method

  • Brown ground beef, onion and celery until browned well. In large kettle, mix tomatoes, juice and beans. Add beef mixture. Simmer on low heat for about 1 hour. Add salt, pepper and bay leaves. Add chili powder to your taste. I cook macaroni on the side or rice to add whatever you desire.
