Ingredients

  • 2 lb. chicken breasts
  • salad oil
  • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 1/4 c. cornstarch plus 2 Tbsp.
  • dash of pepper
  • 2 cans clear chicken broth
  • 1 (5 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts, drained
  • 1/2 c. frozen peas, thawed
  • 1 c. thinly sliced celery
  • 1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1/2 c. toasted, slivered almonds

Method

  • Slice chicken breasts into long thin slivers.
  • To make them easier to slice, store in freezer until partially frozen.
  • Then let thaw at room temperature.
