- 2 lb. chicken breasts
- salad oil
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 1/4 c. cornstarch plus 2 Tbsp.
- dash of pepper
- 2 cans clear chicken broth
- 1 (5 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts, drained
- 1/2 c. frozen peas, thawed
- 1 c. thinly sliced celery
- 1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained
- 1/2 c. toasted, slivered almonds
Method
- Slice chicken breasts into long thin slivers.
- To make them easier to slice, store in freezer until partially frozen.
- Then let thaw at room temperature.
