Ingredients

  • 4 medium potatoes, sliced
  • 8 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 14 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • dried parsley flakes, for garnish
  • 1 (17 ounce) canwaterpack peach slices, drained
  • fresh parsley, for garnish
  • fresh orange slice, for garnish

Method

  • Place potatoes in a greased slow cooker, then arrange chicken on top of the potatoes.
  • In a bowl, combine vinegar, nutmeg, basil, brown sugar, and orange juice.
  • Pour over chicken, and sprinkle with parsley.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6 hours.
  • Remove chicken and potatoes from sauce and arrange on a warm platter.
  • Turn cooker to high, add peaches.
  • When warm, spoon peaches, and sauce over chicken, and potatoes.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley, and orange slices.
