Ingredients
- 2 onions, chopped
- 2 to 3 carrots, chopped
- 2 stalks celery, chopped
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. basil
- 1/4 tsp. thyme
- 3 Tbsp. parsley flakes
- 1 (2 1/2 lb.) fryer chicken
- 4 c. water
- 1 c. noodles
Method
- Place all ingredients in crock-pot, except for noodles.
- Cover and cook on low 8 to 10 hours (on high 4 to 6 hours).
- One hour before serving, remove chicken from bone, return meat to crock-pot and add noodles.
- Turn on high, cover and cook 1 hour more.
