Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. boiling water
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 2/3 c. grated Swiss cheese
  • 1 c. finely chopped chicken
  • 1/2 c. chopped almonds
  • 1/4 c. green pepper, finely chopped
  • 1/4 c. tomato, finely chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. white wine (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
  • 1/2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/3 c. mayonnaise

Method

  • Preheat oven to 400°.
  • In a small saucepan, melt butter in water over medium-low heat.
  • Add flour and salt, stirring until mixture forms a ball.
  • Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
  • Add eggs and beat vigorously until smooth.
  • Stir in cheese.
  • Drop dough by heaping teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheet.
  • Bake 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Remove puffs, cool and split.
