Ingredients

  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas and carrots
  • 1/3 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 3/4 c. chicken broth
  • 2/3 c. milk
  • 1/3 c. margarine or butter
  • 1/3 c. chopped onion
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2 1/2 to 3 c. cooked chicken or turkey

Method

  • Heat oven to 425°. Heat margarine or butter until melted. Stir in flour, onion, salt and pepper. Cook until bubbly; remove from heat. Stir in broth and milk. Heat until boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir for approximately 1 minute. Stir in chicken and vegetables. Pour mixture into prepared pie shell. Cover mixture in pie shell. Turn edges under just like a pie. Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until brown.
