Ingredients

  • 2 lb. chicken, cut up and washed (salt and pepper)
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 Tbsp. paprika
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh dill or dried
  • 1 (13 3/4 oz.) can chicken broth
  • 3 Tbsp. sour cream
  • hot cooked noodles

Method

  • Season chicken lightly with salt and pepper.
  • In large skillet over medium heat, melt butter.
  • Add chicken.
  • Cook 5 minutes on each side or until browned, turning once.
  • Remove chicken and set aside.
  • Stir onion into skillet.
  • Sprinkle flour, paprika and dill evenly on top.
  • Saute 2 to 3 minutes; stir in broth and water. Return chicken to skillet; reduce heat to medium.
  • Cook uncovered 15 to 20 minutes until chicken is cooked through and juices are slightly reduced.
  • Remove from heat and stir in sour cream alternative until well blended.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve over noodles.
