Ingredients
- 1 lb beef (chuck or stew beef)
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 medium onion
- 12 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
- 12 cup water
- 14 teaspoon chili powder
- 12 teaspoon paprika
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 14 teaspoon pepper
Method
- Cook onion in oil, add ketchup, vinegar, mustard, water, chili powder, paprika, brown sugar, salt and pepper and simmer for 15 min.
- Cover beef with water, add 4-5 bay leaves.
- Simmer until it can be pulled apart with fork.
- Serve on bun.
- Pork or chicken can be used.
- Can be frozen.
- Note: I use chicken.
- I cook the sauce in the crockpot, add the cooked chicken at the beginning, and cook it on low for about 6 hours.
